Answer boards
I thought that WikiAnswers seemed a better place than Yahoo 7 Answers, if only because the questions had a bit more depth... but any question deserves an answer. I think it is very important that libraries get involved in answering questions, so that people remember that this is what we do. The difference in quality between the librarian's answers and other answers was interesting.

I like WikiAnswer as well and it can be very addictive in nature. I have learned many things on there and hopefully passed on a bit of knowledge.

I'm probably biased, but after seeing feedback from librarians that used Yedda, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it too.
On WikiAnswers, we really do strive for quality answers. That's why we LOVE it when librarians venture onto the site. After all, you have always been and remain the knowledge experts. I encourage other librarians to check it out. Get to know the community a bit and share what you know. It's fun, it's addictive and, last but not least, it feels really good to know that one simple answer could be helping thousands of people from all over the world.
